One Response to “What license do I need to drive a moped/scooter in Australia?”

You need a motorcycle licence just like the rest of us, apply for your learners, do an 8 hour course over 2 days, apply for your provisional licence within 6 months and do an 8 hour course over 1 day, pass that and stay on your "p"s for the next 12 months at which time you receive your full licence and can ride anything you want. I believe they are changing the laws to bring them in line with car licences soon (green & red "p"s and 24 months till you get a full licence) so i'd get onto it soon if i were you !
