I have a 2006 Meiduo (Chinese) moped and when we go to start it, sometimes it'll start but then it will die when I give it gas. Other times, it'll sound like it's starting after using the electric start, but dies as soon I give it gas. Any suggestions on how to fix this? By the way, it is a 4 stroke.

Thanks!

ISounds like a fuel supply or carb issue, but I can tell you that a 2006 Chinese scooter is near the end of its useful life.

im not sure if yours is the same but mine does the same thing if i havent ridden it in a week or so. but usually if the electric start doesnt work i use the kick start and just let it run for awhile maybe 5 -9 minutes or check by your engines sound if its running smoothly then give it a little gas.
it might not be related but try giving your moped a higher grade of gas it will make your engine run alot smoother.
